England - Dover to London

The Equestrian Statue of the Duke of Wellington is a prominant feature in the square that overlooks both the Bank of England and the Royal Exchange of London. This is one of only a handful of statues in London that was unveiled while the subject was still alive in 1844. It is made of bronze from a captured enemy cannon melted down after the Battle of Waterloo.
